少林寺流琉球古武術
Shorinjiryu Ryukyu Kobujutsu, i.e. traditional weapon techniques, is also being practiced at the Finland Shorinjiryu Karatedo Association's member clubs. Shorinjiryu Ryukyu kobujutsu was developed by Soshi Matsuoi.
The style is based on the analysis and synthesis of old weapon kata techniques. The biggest difference in comparison to other kobudo styles is the principal assumption that the opponent nearly always attacks with a real sword (katana). However, wooden swords called bokken are typically used when practicing.
Shorinjiryu Ryukyu Kobujutsu includes training with sai, tonfa, nunchaku, bo and bokken.
